The Planning and Real Estate Management Division is responsible for the planning and management of state-owned and leased facilities in the Commission's inventory. The division's portfolio of leased and owned facilities totals over 28 million square feet, supporting the needs of over 100 state agencies housing 62,600 employees throughout 283 Texas cities and towns. Major activities include: 1) long-range and strategic analyses and planning; 2) administering the Public Private Partnership Program; 3) space allocation and management; 4) pre-design, space program development and plan review;5) lease procurement and contract management services; 6) property management, custodial services, pest control and grounds maintenance for state-owned facilities; 7) recycling and waste management services; and 8) commercial parking and events management.
