Lois Bingham is the Director of Accounting for the Texas Facilities Commission. Along with the Accounting, Payables and Payroll staff she also directs the Procurement, Business Support and Warehouse staff. Lois' goal is to ensure that the various State and Federal accounting policies and procedures are followed to surpass required audits and produce an accurate and timely Annual Financial Report for the Commission.

Her accounting career began in 1986, serving as the Chief Fiscal Officer in Maybrook, New York. Along with an Associate's Degree in Accounting, Lois' twelve years of service in Maybrook provided her with experience in almost every aspect of governmental accounting. Additional responsibilities included Deputy Clerk, Registrar of Vital Statistics, Notary Public and Clerk/Treasurer of the Fire District.

Soon after arriving in Texas in 1998, Lois accepted an accounting position in the State Comptroller's Office where she assisted the Texas Facilities Commission as their Financial Reporting Analyst. Two years later, in April of 2001, the Texas Facilities Commission offered her an accounting position. Lois has enjoyed her career with this agency, serving as Chief Accountant and then Accounting Manager prior to her promotion to Director.
