Peter Maass
Director of Project Management and Minor Construction
Peter Maass is Director of the Project Management and Minor Construction program areas within the Facilities Design & Construction Division (FDC) of the Texas Facilities Commission (TFC). Peter previously served as the program manager for the sizable deferred maintenance program at TFC. Prior to joining the agency in 2007, he developed an extensive background in the practice of architecture and project management for large private and public sector building programs including projects totaling over $200 million dollars for the Facilities & Services - Capital Construction Division at the University of Illinois.
Peter oversees a staff of nine project managers working on projects totaling over $400 million dollars. He monitors progress of the entire Facilities Design & Construction program while honing processes and procedures to ensure policy and statutory compliance and accurate reporting. He also oversees the Minor Construction program that includes a staff of twenty and an average yearly construction volume of over $3 million dollars.
Peter is a graduate of the University of Illinois - School of Architecture, with a Masters in Design, he is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and is registered as an architect in four states including Texas.
